Dr. Farzaneh Badiei is a research associate at the Georgia Institute of Technology, School of Public Policy, and the Executive Director of Internet Governance Project (IGP).

Since 2011, Farzaneh has been a part of Internet governance research and professional community where she has carried out research projects at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) and the Syracuse School of Information Studies. She received her Ph.D. in Law from the University of Hamburg, Institute of Law and Economics. Her dissertation focused on online private justice systems institutional design and online market intermediaries. Farzaneh also worked at the United Nations Internet Governance Forum Secretariat.
