Austin Ruckstuhl is a PhD Fellow at the United Nations University - CRIS in Belgium. His research examines models of multistakeholderism in Internet Governance. He holds an M.A., with honors, in International Relations from the Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) in Barcelona, Spain. His master’s thesis, titled “The Blurring of Insiders and Outsiders: The TPP Transparency Campaign”, examined the role of civil society in the Intellectual Property negotiations of the Trans Pacific Partnership and was awarded Best Thesis of the graduating class of 2016. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, USA. Austin’s work has been featured in OpenDemocracy, Global Partners Digital and the IBEI Student Paper Series.
