Ioana is an SJD Candidate in International Business Law at Central European University (Budapest). In her research, she is looking at regulatory models for data in US, EU, China and Brazil. She is currently a compliance analyst for Healcloud, a start-up providing data management systems for the healthcare industry. She is founder of Lawyr.it and an ICANN Fellow.
Previously, Ioana has worked in a regional Romanian law firm, then she moved to Budapest, where she worked for OPL Attorneys, an international law firm, and Explico, a tech and regulatory consultancy boutique. She has been a Teaching Assistant at Babes-Bolyai University (Cluj-Napoca), a tutor in the CEU Open Learning Initiative and a Teaching Assistant at CEU for Big Data. She has also been a Visiting Research Fellow for CESL (Beijing), as well as a Research Fellow at the Swiss Institute for Comparative Law (Lausanne).
